A quite rare Wu Yi Oolong tea, Ban Tian Yao is considered as a Xiao Ping Zhong or "rare race". The tea has been roasted using hard wood charcoal following traditional Wu Yi Oolong tea processing. The tea leaves are well processed into even curly stripes with deep brownish-green hue at the edge of the tea leaves. The tea offers a warm and sweet aroma combined a nice layer of milk and flower. The tea liquor gives a roasted cacao flavor with a floral taste and has some profundity due to the wood charcoal baking.
